New ute for us

Well its been a long time again since I've bloged .. We have bought a Landcrusier Ute last week and will be driveing it to Brisbane tomorrow . The comeing weekend will see us attending events that we are all very excited about . Jo and Shani are going to the Gewn Stefani concert at the Entertainment center and I am going to a home brewers swap meet. This is a great opertunity to share knowlage and brewing experiances and have a few beers as well. We all take along a case of beer and swap bottles so that we come home with a mixed case of each others beers to sample.. My contribiton will be a Smoked Porter..

We had a very wet June and then nothing till yesterday with 19mm and then 8mm this morning . We are getting showers today and as I type this its pissing down with strong gusts of wind blowing it in downstairs .. Hope its not to wet driveing south..

Anyway a couple of pics of our new wheels .. Its a '91 HZJ Landcrusier ute.. has about 400k on the clock but has a new motor in it that only has 150k on it.. This is what we have wanted for sometime now and wil enable us to get out and explore the country of far north qld ... we hope to do the tip next year and lots of camping out in the Gold fields of the Palmer river , also weekend trips to station country Nth of Cooktown , with camping and fishing at Cape mellville and Bathurst Bay..
