Wow they sure are getting good rains to the South of us and South of Cairns.
Palmcove at the Northern end of the Cairns beaches got 244mm last night, and lots of other falls over 100mm. The Bruce Hyw was opened for awhile yesterday but is closed again now as fresh river flows come though.

The situation is interesting with the low in the gulf just hanging around and the likeyhood of a small low forming off the Cairns coast later today or tomorrow,

Here on the Daintree we only had 15mm in one shower yesterday arvo and this morning it looks like I might even hang the washing out for a few hours ..

The cattle got in last night and have made a bloody mess of my lawns along with the wheel tracks of moving some stuff out on Saturday arvo, Need a good shower to wash the mud back out flat ...

Well who knows what will happen in the days ahead , it almost seems wrong not to be flooding ...
