Our bedroom wall is up and Shanis doorway is in..

I've cut the back door in half and filled the bottom half in , The gas cook top will go just under the blue bit by the door and a bench top around under the cupboard.


The door way from the kitchen into the bathroom has to go , so I've put a new doorway in the back wall of the bathroom..

Bathroom door is in and working and I borrowed a mates truck and carted fill in for Shanis room


We had a day trip to Cooktown , The light house ontop of Grassy Hill

And a concertina from the Palmer river gold feilds (or so they say)

This bloke showed up look for his coat one evening ..He 's just over 2 meters ..

Then its back to work , my best trowel hand ..

Done , I mixed and barrowed and Jo did all the screeding , Well done dear... :)

Then School started , Shani ' s first day of high school..

My buddy who lent me his truck to get materials is a concreater and he offerd to do some decorative top coat on Shani's floor and just happened to trun up on Thursday , Shanis birthday ..Its very hard to see in these shots but its a white top coat that is trowled on , left with the marks in it and allowed to dry . This surface is pourous but not evenly so when he adds a stain it gets left in differant shades as he go's . WE put a light blue tint in it and the effect is a bit like wispy blue sky..

Shanis Grandad got her a great little camera

We got Shani a stereo that is a docking station for her ipod, dvd player, cd ,am/fm radio and and alarm clock..


And her floor is done..


Now just a wall or 2 too go and she has a brand new room ...
